Very rich sweet fortified red wine with prune, mocha, caramel and herb flavours, absolutely superb with chocolate desserts or strong cheeses.

Banyuls is a Vin Doux Naturel made predominantly from Grenache Noir. With its summer pudding and mocha flavours (together with dried herbs, prune and caramel) it marries well with cheese, chocolate and even with classic French savoury dishes such as rabbit, hare or venison braised with a chocolate sauce.

Heady aromas of over-ripe fruits and spices. A touch of vanilla on the palate, which is beautifully textured, generous, long and powerful.

Luxuriously rich and sweet, with masses of red fruit on the nose. It has a curiously burnt element on the palate, and is very long and concentrated, with a lovely cherry finish. Gentle tannins help to bring the sweetness into check.
