Château Musar Rouge, Mont Liban, Lebanon 2018
Regular price £41.95
Blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Cinsault and Carignan. Deep garnet colour in the glass with dried cherries and mature red fruits on the nose. The palate is rich and concentrated with cranberries, raisins, and dates. Acidity is good with fine tannins. This 2018 vintage has an enticing smoky, dusty fruit with soft liquorice undertones and at 6 years of age upon release, it is already developed and mature.
Château Musar
Château Musar was established in 1930 by Gaston Hochar. The third generation of the family are now at the helm, running the business and making the wines with the same passion and dedication as when it first started. The wines of Musar gained international acclaim in 1979 at the Bristol wine fair, where the eminent critic Michael Broadbent propelled the brand into the spotlight. In 1984, Decanter Magazine honored Serge Hochar with its first “Man of the Year” award. Since then, Château Musar has gone from strength to strength to become one of the most recognized Lebanese wineries outside Lebanon. Certified organic since 2006, Château Musar was a true pioneer of organic viticulture, having followed sustainability principles since the estate’s inception.
